Description

Stantec's Buildings Team is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing Perth office. This is a rare opportunity to work on some of Western Australia's most iconic and landmark projects, alongside nationally significant work that shapes communities and leaves a lasting legacy.

We operate across all building types, including health, education, sports and leisure, multi-residential, retail and commercial buildings. The role will enable you to thrive in a firm that boasts global expertise but with extensive local history, knowledge and presence.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be a key member of our project delivery team, servicing a diverse range of clients across building types and scales. You can expect to:

  • Lead and contribute to structural engineering design across the full project lifecycle

  • Work on projects ranging from boutique builds to large, complex developments

  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams across health, education, sports and leisure, multi-residential, retail, and commercial sectors

  • Mentor and support junior engineers as a senior technical resource

  • Engage directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver outstanding outcomes

  • Contribute to the development of the Structural team, be an ambassador to our brand and to our company culture.

Qualifications

About You

You're a motivated structural engineer who takes pride in technical excellence and wants to see your work make a real mark on the built environment. You'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering

  • Chartered status (MIEAust / CPEng) or working towards it

  • Solid post-graduate experience in building structures (consultancy background preferred)

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships

  • A collaborative mindset with the drive to take ownership of your projects

  • Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards

  • Structural software knowledge of RAM Concept, SpaceGass and ETABS (essential)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem solving mindset with strong interpersonal skills
