About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior SMP Designer to join Stantec's Energy & Resources team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Design Team, you'll contribute to the delivery of mining and resource sector projects across a range of commodities and project stages, from studies and concept development through to detailed design and execution.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll bring a client-focused approach, strong technical design capability, and the ability to coordinate effectively across engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
8 years' experience in mining industry design
Strong proficiency in AutoDesk, Bentley OpenPlant and MicroStation design tools
Experience with design of mineral processing facilities and associated infrastructure
Previous experience in a Senior SMP Designer or similar role (candidates with only structural or mechanical design experience will be considered)
Sound understanding of industry standards, design practices, and project delivery requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
