About the role

Our experienced multi-disciplinary team and strategic technical and service partnerships position us to provide the best outcomes for our clients, both private and government, across all surveying and spatial fields.

Working to the highest standards of professionalism, we provide efficient and innovative spatial solutions that empower our clients to confidently make informed decisions.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Plan and manage the delivery of high-quality surveying consulting services and products to clients.

  • Ensure client expectations and needs are met and key authority stakeholder requirements are satisfied.

  • Oversee and monitor the processes and procedures in place to manage relationships with assigned clients and other key stakeholders, to ensure projects are effectively and efficiently delivered.

  • Undertake and provide clients with fee submissions and invoicing.

  • Maintain professional standards in relation to product and service delivery, QA, OH&S and environmental standards.

  • Promote and provide a safe working environment for all team members.

  • Mentoring other team members.

  • Seek out new business opportunities.

  • Promote, market and grow the survey unit’s business and client portfolio.

  • Achieve the agreed revenue/expenses budgets through the effective and efficient use of available resources including personnel, equipment and technology, while maximising the value and return to Stantec.

Qualifications

To be successful for the role you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in surveying or equivalent demonstrated experience in the industry.

  • A passion for working in the Surveying discipline.

  • High-level knowledge, understanding and application of surveying concepts, processes, and activities.

  • Strong writing skills.

  • Confident approach to problem solving.

  • The ability to work within a team environment through well-developed interpersonal skills.

  • A positive and proactive attitude.

  • Proven business development experience related to cadastral and engineering surveying within the urban development and infrastructure industries.

  • The ability to forecast, set and meet realistic business generation targets.

  • Ability to build, maintain and enhance professional relationships with councils, service. authorities, catchment management and water authorities.

  • Tender and fee submission experience.

  • Willingness to travel and work in different locations when required.
