Due to the continuing growth of our Water Group, we are currently seeking an experienced Strategic Advisor to support the growth of the Advisory business across our extensive client base across Australia. The role of Practice Leader – Strategic Advisory works closely with the Programme Management and Investment and Business Advisory Practices ensuring that Stantec provide a complete end-to-end advisory service that to support the diverse needs of our clients.
The role could be based in either Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney. Reporting to the Advisory Market Leader - Water, you will have responsibility for:
The development of strategic business opportunities to shape the BC.
Supporting the Market Leader in strategic pursuits across strategic management and planning, innovative global strategic water practices, and integrated water management.
Providing technical excellence for the Practice they represent through market understanding and project delivery.
Ensuring technical delivery consistency within their market.
Identifying technical leaders within the BC who operate within their Practice.
Overseeing their practice Knowledge Community.
Supporting various leadership roles within the BC to deliver technical excellence for our clients.
Specifically, your duties will include:
Reporting to the Market Leader – Water Advisory, Water, Australia (ML), the Practice Leader (PL) is responsible for:
Developing strategic business opportunities to shape the BC.
Supporting the ML in strategic pursuits.
Technical excellence of the Practice they represent through project delivery.
Ensuring technical delivery consistency within their market.
Identifying technical leaders within the BC who operate within their Practice.
Overseeing their practice Knowledge Community.
Supporting various leadership roles within the BC to deliver technical excellence for our clients.
So, what do you need to bring to take your career to the next level?
Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably post-graduate
Nominally 15 years of related work, technical leadership, and consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Professional registration in a related field.
Understand and lead the introduction and consolidation of innovative practices globally to meet client needs, including but not limited to:
- Strategic management and planning, valuing benefits across the capital decision making process
- Integrated Water Management and circular economy practices
- Adaptive planning, resilience, systems thinking and long-term strategic responses
- Global sustainability practices
