Description
Practice Lead – Water Resources Design leads continued improvement in rigour and standardisation of the practice of design in the national team. By leading the practice of Water resources Design knowledge community, the role will ensure design of drainage, WSUD, detention, stormwater harvesting and flood mitigation is standardised, practical, robust and efficiently delivered to cement Stantec as a Tier 1 industry leader in Water Resources design in Australia.
The PL is required to partner with other PLs in their Market, both in Australia and New Zealand, and working with the Technical Delivery Leader – Water, to share materials, approaches, best practice, and consistency where possible so to allow the business to operate as a homogeneous ANZ business.
Specifically, your duties will include:
Reporting to the Market Leader – Water Resources, Water, Australia (ML), the Practice Leader (PL) is responsible for:
Developing strategic business opportunities to shape the BC.
Supporting the ML in strategic pursuits.
Technical excellence of the Practice they represent through project delivery.
Ensuring technical delivery consistency within their market.
Identifying technical leaders within the BC who operate within their Practice.
Overseeing their practice Knowledge Community.
Supporting various leadership roles within the BC to deliver technical excellence for our clients.
So, what do you need to bring to take your career to the next level?
Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably post-graduate
Nominally 15 years of related work, technical leadership, and consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Professional registration in a related field.
Detailed technical experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as 12d or Civil 3D.
Detailed technical experience in the design of drainage, WSUD, detention, stormwater harvesting and flood mitigation.
