Stantec are looking for a collaborative and engaging Senior Civil Engineer to help shape the closeknit local office in project performance and business efficiencies. With the support of the Regional Business Leader, you will be responsible for the growth of secured and unsecured backlog and supporting the team in delivering projects to the highest possible standards.
About the role
We are seeking a Senior or Principal level Civil Engineer with Multi – Disciplinary experience to work within the community development team of engineers, designers and drafters in our Springfield / Brisbane office. You will be client facing, responsible for project management / technical design reviews, and have the ability to strategically position the office for future works. You will represent the company externally to clients and play a senior and active role in building these relationships.
You will enjoy a diverse role, working on critical projects, managing and mentoring resources, business development and building a high-performing team culture
Day to day tasks would involve:
Day to day collaboration with the civil team.
Full project life cycle involvement from tendering through to design and construction phase services/support including project review, liaison with client and consultant team, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits.
Ensure that the civil team maintains an appropriate level of service to key Clients
Mentoring engineers, designers, and drafters to enable them to perform successfully at all levels
Facilitate knowledge sharing and proactively engage with your discipline colleagues across ANZ and the world
Adhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.
Contribute to our company culture
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Bachelor of Civil Engineering
Demonstrated civil consultancy experience, ideally multi disciplinary consulting engineering experience in urban and land subdivisions
Experience in developing relationships with local councils, road authority and developers
Relevant registration and professional accreditations
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including written communication, negotiation and facilitation
