Stantec are working on some iconic and exciting projects and we are looking to grow our supportive and friendly administration team!

We are seeking a Technical Administrator (Bids and Tenders) to join our Sydney Administration team on a full-time basis. You will primarily provide assistance to a group of Engineering Project Team Leaders, but also support administration team and staff in general.

This position is aimed at someone with administration, bids and tender experience and is a proactive forward-thinker. A positive outlook and strong work ethic as well as an ability to think outside the box are highly regarded. The successful applicant will need to be able to manage competing priorities, be self-motivated, resourceful and a great communicator.

Ideally you will have a background working in the construction or property industry, for an architect, project manager or engineering firm. However, this isn’t necessary and we encourage applicants without this sector experience.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Prepare and coordinate fee proposals, submissions, reports and specifications utilising Microsoft Word.

  • Enter new projects into the Stantec project administration system including all necessary information required.

  • Assist Section Managers and Project Engineers in the quality assurance and the administrative functions associated with those roles

  • Other general admin duties as required

  • Adhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and quality procedures

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – a high level of Word is required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Team player

  • Ability to adapt to different situations and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlines

  • Great organisational skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Positive, can-do attitude
