About the role:
Our Environmental team is experienced in planning and executing investigations, assessments and remedial design projects which confront the difficulties of managing contaminated land.
This full-time role will see you work on environmental site assessments, groundwater hydrogeology and contamination assessments, ground gas assessments and management and landfill permitting and assessments. The role can be based at either of our offices in Melbourne CBD, Geelong or Ballarat.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Deliver contaminated land services in accordance with client expectation, project schedule and budgets.
Provide effective input into the assessment and management of the technical aspects and human and environmental impacts of the ongoing management and remediation of contaminated land sites including former landfills.
Scope and design contaminated land and groundwater investigations.
Prepare and/or review proposals, reports and management plans within given timeframes
Plan resource needs in consultation with management, team leaders and project managers working within the Business Unit
Coach and mentor junior staff on field techniques, data analysis and reporting
Qualifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry or related field.
7 – 15 years’ experience within the field of contaminated land assessment and/or environmental assessment and remediation.
Strong analytical, reporting and verbal communication skills.
A client service focus with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in team environments.
Valid/ current driver’s license.
