About the role
Our Melbourne office are seeking a Project Technical Lead, Hydraulic Engineering to progress their career in Hydraulic Services consulting. This role is suitable for a qualified candidate to take the lead on a diverse range of projects. We are looking for someone with Hydraulic design experience within the building services sector.
The successful candidate will be able to apply their technical skills and demonstrate commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly designed, personally reviewed and delivered on time. You will be expected to service projects including those of relatively large size, of high complexity and with multiple clients.
Stantec are involved in a vast variety of project types including health, defence, high-rise, industrial, education etc. The successful candidate will be working in a strong team environment and will need to manage several projects at any one time. You will be self-motivated, resourceful and a great communicator.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Undertaking Hydraulic engineering assessment and calculations for the detailed design of building structures
Corresponding with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies
Prioritise workloads whilst ensuring our clients’ needs are met whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleague's both locally and across the international Stantec team.
Build and develop your professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Ideally be degree qualified in an engineering discipline
Have experience working in the consulting or engineering industry
Previous Hydraulic building services experience
Self-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities
Technically very strong in terms of understanding the key elements of the design and construction associated with Hydraulic Engineering works.
Ability to multitask and deliver high profile projects in a timely manner
Ideally be well connected/networked within the industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
