About the role:
We are currently seeking a Drafter to join our Community Development team and play an integral role in the delivery of infrastructure work across Australia. You will provide documentation and verification of drawings and sketches within a progressive global organisation with a great team culture.
Based at our Melbourne CBD office on Swanston Street, you will be part of a strong team dynamic that values their people with regular training, coaching and mentoring. We put our people first and are particularly interested in ensuring our team is rewarded for their hard work and successes.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Preparation of engineering drawings, sketches and related documentation using AutoCAD.
Ensure work output is of a technically high standard, while meeting budgeted times and costs.
Liaise with engineers, designers and project managers to ensure work output meets client needs.
Develop innovative solutions to problems for the successful accomplishment of assigned projects.
Provide mentoring and support to continue the development of junior staff within the team.

Qualifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Minimum 5years of experience in civil drafting, including commercial, land/ urban development projects, preferably within a consulting environment
Tertiary qualification in Computer-Aided Design Technology.
Advanced knowledge of design software including AutoCAD
Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
