You don’t have to be a specialist in both Civil & Hydraulic Engineering. If you tick one of the boxes, we will help you expand and develop your skills and knowledge in the other discipline.
Stantec is currently involved in some of Perth’s most exciting projects within a variety of industries and sectors, including health, defence, commercial, land development (subdivision), civil infrastructure and transport.
Successful applicants will ideally have a good technical design background, plus strong consulting engineering and project delivery skills over a range of areas including earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water and gas network design, plus a clear knowledge of standards and processes.
For the right candidate, there is also the potential to create, develop and manage the Civil Engineering team within our Buildings Group.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Production of detailed designs, documentation reports, proposals and specifications for civil / hydraulic engineering projects
Consulting with a range of clients and stakeholders including the private sector, local authorities and State government bodies
Prioritising workloads to ensure our Clients' needs are met, whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleagues, both within the team and across the wider Stantec network.
Building and developing your professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.
Participating in meetings with clients and other consultants.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Hydraulic/Mechanical Engineering
Self-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities
Ability to use initiative and to think outside the box
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
Attention to detail
Positive, can-do attitude
At least 3-years of work experience as either a civil or hydraulic engineer
