About the role
Stantec have a strong reputation in the transport engineering due to recent project wins, and we are currently seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Drafter to join our Transport Delivery team. The role will be based in our East Perth office, however interstate candidates are most welcome to apply, and remote working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

We work with state and local government, developers, landowners and others, delivering traffic and transport solutions as well as working in collaboration with our interstate and international offices with specialist skills. You will be in a key role leading and coordinating project specific bridge drafting in collaboration with the roads and BIM drafting / design teams. With a strong pipeline of committed work and a team of technical professionals you will play an integral role in new projects which have a focus on BIM.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Participate in project delivery and ensure work output is of a high technical standard.
Complete drawings/ designs using REVIT (preferred but not essential).
Complete drafting documentation in accordance with procedures.
Conduct drafting reviews on projects.
Develop plans, estimates, specifications, calculations and planning layouts.
Prepare work plans and resource schedules for projects.
Provide mentoring, guidance and development to existing members of the team.
Deliver a client focused service and nurture the client relationship.
Qualifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Advanced Diploma or Certificate IV in Engineering with minimum 10 years’ industry related experience.
Mid to high level competency using REVIT (2 to 5 years – preferred but not essential).
Familiar with the relevant road authority standards as well as strong knowledge of best practice standards, guidelines, current trends and legislation.
Familiar with timber, precast concrete, steel framing and reinforced concrete construction.
Understanding of BIM/ Digital Engineering (DE) processes.
Able to provide alternate engineering solutions to the engineering team on projects.
