We are seeking motivated Engineering professionals to join our high performing Water Division and assist on our water infrastructure projects based in our Sydney office. Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages for construction.

About the role:

Our Water Group is growing, and we have several terrific opportunities for talented Planning Engineer experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions.

In this position you will play an integral role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals that ‘design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients in both metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.

We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in New South Wales. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region.

As a Planning Engineer in our Water business, you will provide professional engineering skills in the areas of water and wastewater infrastructure along with the following:

  • Manage and assist in the civil engineering, hydraulic modelling and feasibility/concept design of water and wastewater infrastructure as lead or member of a larger team.

  • Provide technical expertise in water engineering to meet project needs and client expectations, including both modelling and planning.

  • Ensure all technical outputs conform to the project scope, are safe and are of appropriate quality (confirmed by independent review).

  • Support the development and expansion of the Company’s capability in the fields of water and wastewater planning, including obtaining new clients and/or new work from existing clients.

  • Support the development of other team members through technical advice and guidance.

  • Key resource in completing chargeable projects and acts as a key link between graduates and project technical leads/managers when required

  • Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Civil or equivalent.

  • Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.

  • Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.

  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (highly desirable but not essential).

  • Expertise with dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies.
