About the role
We are currently seeking a motivated Engineer to join our thriving and dynamic Brisbane Electrical Team. The role is ideally suitable for a candidate who has some experience working on a range of building services projects including commercial, defence, industrial, educational and healthcare.
The successful candidate will have a good grounding in design and be looking to further develop their role and responsibilities. The successful applicant will be expected to manage small to medium scale projects with minimal support and manage components of work on larger scale building services projects under the supervision of a Senior Engineer for support and guidance. Independent working and commitment to deadlines, with an ability to support our senior and project engineers on a number of projects at different stages of completion are key attributes.
This role will enable the successful applicant to develop in a professional and personal sense, and to forge a challenging and rewarding career path in a global successful company.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Electrical design for a range of building projects, providing reports, studies, design calculations, drawings and specifications
Design of lighting, LV power systems, lightning protection, passive ICT
LV power system modelling and light modelling using industry standard software such as PowerCAD, AGI/Dialux
Assist peers and colleagues
Liaise with authorities and contractors
Bring value to in-house design/project meetings
Contribute to our company culture
Adhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Building Services Electrical Design Experience
Electrical Engineering Degree
Willingness to establish and maintain strong client relationships to formulate repeat opportunities
Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
Great communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines with well-developed organisational skills
Positive, can-do attitude, team player and strong work ethic
