About the role

Due to a strong pipeline of new project work we are seeking a Digital Engineering Manager based in our Sydney office. You will be pivotal in growing our digital engineering team and working to enhance our position as a leading engineering service provider in both our local market and major projects around the country.

Our digital engineering team is a highly respected and are an established group of professionals that work closely to support the Transport team in securing a solid pipeline of digitally enabled infrastructure projects. You will be working on and leading multiple projects across a range of engineering disciplines, particularly in road and rail related transport infrastructure.

Day to day tasks would involve:

• Develop documentation for projects and internal standards for execution of wholistic digital applications.

• Provide technical advice and leadership on Digital Engineering processes across all projects.

• Work closely with project teams and clients, providing technical advice for appropriate implementation of Digital Engineering solutions.

• Provide direction and support to implement Common Data Environments for projects, as required, and in alignment with the Digital leadership direction.

• Foster awareness of digital tools and processes during project start-up.

• Liaise with the Business Leader for the NSW Transport Team as well as the Australian Digital and Innovation Leader to ensure alignment in approach of digital solutions, tools and processes.

• Manage, lead and mentor the NSW Digital Engineering team on DE best practices and processes.

Qualifications

To be successful for this role you'll need:

• Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent Industry qualification with minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.

• Keen interest in the future of Digital Engineering (BIM, Augmented/ Virtual Reality, Automation, Visualisation etc.)

• A competent understanding of information management with an awareness of ISO19650 and BS/PAS1192 requirements and implementation, with experience and/or training in this area.

• Awareness of standards related to NSW transport projects, in Digital Engineering.

• Understanding of Revizto preferred but not essential.

• Understanding of various Modelling Authoring software platforms such as infraworks, Civil 3D, 12d Model and Revit.

• Experience in the configuration and use of common data environment applications such as 12d Synergy, Autodesk BIM 360 and Bentley Projectwise.

• A principal appreciation and understanding of GIS - and survey data formats would be preferred but not essential.
