About the role
Our Perth based transport delivery team is currently working on a broad range of transportation projects for Main Roads Western Australia and Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, including major upgrades, replacements, and refurbishments. To support delivery the work packages, we are currently seeking a full time Bridge Engineer to join our team. Working with a broad team, you involved with Bridge design and development, developing client relationships and preparing reports.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Develop design concepts and carrying out detailed design for transport structures, culverts, underpasses, and bridges.
Prepare design documentation, technical reports and client’s specifications.
Provide bridge / structural designs, and technical reviews associated with various projects.
Undertaking structural engineering analysis and design to Australian Standards.
Prepare and check engineering calculations, drawings, technical specifications and scopes of work.
Plan and carry out site inspections of structures, when required.
Qualifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
3 - 7 years of experience in the design, and delivery of bridge engineering packages within multi-disciplinary transport infrastructure projects
Well versed in Structural/ Bridge analysis design software such as STRAND 7, SPACEGASS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, AND MIDAS.
Previous experience in load rating and strengthening of timber bridges.
Previous experience working on major project (MRWA / PTA or similar)
