Accounts Payable Manager - ( 230003EA )

Description

Stantec is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the AP team. This role supports a busy, dynamic Shared Services team by managing the Accounts Payable function. This role will be based out of our Melbourne office.

You will be responsible for:

• Be responsible for the Accounts Payable functions, ensuring procedures are accurate and staff are fully trained and accounts are accurately coded and re-distributed in a timely manner

• Manage & lead the Accounts Payable Team.

• Monitor and analyse aging reports, serving as an escalation point when required and investigate and resolve aged payables items

• Monitor Accounts payable workflow queues and allocate resources as needed

• Meet deadlines for period-ends and ensure accuracy of invoice posting whilst ensuring proper approvals are maintained

• Provide excellent customer service to vendor and employees

• Review processes and systems to streamline the AP workflow when needed

• Participate in audits as required

• Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality, Safety & Environment Systems and Project Quality Procedures

• Other duties as reasonably required

To be successful in this role your will have:

• Qualifications & Experience

o Min 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable Team Lead / Supervisor positions

o Experience in ERP systems + Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills + Understanding of SOX principles and Internal controls is highly desirable

• Skills

o Interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external clients + Leadership skills to manage and motivate employees and to be a role model within the business + Organisational skills to prioritise work within the team to meet business needs and deadlines + Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of reports + Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences in multiple countries
