Accounts Payable Manager - ( 230003EA )
Description
Stantec is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the AP team. This role supports a busy, dynamic Shared Services team by managing the Accounts Payable function. This role will be based out of our Melbourne office.
You will be responsible for:
Be responsible for the Accounts Payable functions, ensuring procedures are accurate and staff are fully trained and accounts are accurately coded and re-distributed in a timely manner
Manage & lead the Accounts Payable Team.
Monitor and analyse aging reports, serving as an escalation point when required and investigate and resolve aged payables items
Monitor Accounts payable workflow queues and allocate resources as needed
Meet deadlines for period-ends and ensure accuracy of invoice posting whilst ensuring proper approvals are maintained
Provide excellent customer service to vendor and employees
Review processes and systems to streamline the AP workflow when needed
Participate in audits as required
Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality, Safety & Environment Systems and Project Quality Procedures
Other duties as reasonably required
To be successful in this role your will have:
- Qualifications & Experience
o Min 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable Team Lead / Supervisor positions
o Experience in ERP systems + Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills + Understanding of SOX principles and Internal controls is highly desirable
- Skills
o Interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external clients + Leadership skills to manage and motivate employees and to be a role model within the business + Organisational skills to prioritise work within the team to meet business needs and deadlines + Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of reports + Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences in multiple countries
