An opportunity has arisen for 2 Transportation Delivery Team Leads in our Auckland Transportation team.
As a team lead, you will provide leadership and growth to ensure alignment to Stantec's transportation strategy, initiatives, vision and culture. You will support the Auckland Transportation Team Leader and North Island Business leader in winning work initiatives, you will also bring vision to support building capability and energy to develop the team’s skills and experience through appropriate training, mentoring and guidance.
Key aspects of the role include:
Coordinate resource and technical development requirements with Technical Discipline Leaders and Team Leaders.
Ensure allocated projects and proposals are planned, programmed and appropriately managed.
Participate in projects as either Project Technical Leader or other substantive Discipline technical or delivery role.
Prepare and/or review proposal and variation estimates, documents and evaluation of submissions.
Assist the Auckland Transportation Leader to meet our Integrated Global Working targets.
Be responsible for team utilisation by effective forecasting, networking, business development and delegation and development of backlog.
Be responsible for key client interactions and initiative and build towards strengthening Stantec’s key client relationships and brand.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience
Graduate (and preferably post-graduate) qualifications;
A minimum of 8 year’s relevant experience;
Experience in the leadership and/or mentoring of other practitioners;
Experience in managing projects, including the schedule and budget and the subsequent monitoring of cost and schedule;
Experience working in delivering successful projects within a consulting environment
Skills
High level of technical skills and experience in transportation and related disciplines.
Ability to motivate and drive a unified and effective team.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
An ability to coordinate and drive the delivery of projects to successful and positive client outcomes.
Highly developed inter-personal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Flexibility and adaptability to participate in projects that span across Stantec’s various transport teams.
Well-developed problem solving and negotiation skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to readily learn and apply new systems and processes.
