About the role
Our longstanding Finance Analyst is changing things up in 2026, creating an exciting opportunity for someone in Christchurch who is ready for a change or looking to take the next step in their career. We need someone who enjoys providing specialist financial and management accounting information to support Stantec’s operations and corporate functions
In more detail the role includes:
Provide timely and accurate analysis of financial, operational and marketing information
Review and analyse monthly financial results and KPIs
Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting for the New Zealand region
Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of financial reports
Corporate card programme lead and administrator (ANZ).
Reconciliation of monthly statement and processing of payment (internal)
Undertake financial modelling and scenario analysis
Assist operations with pricing models for bids and proposals
Administer Blackline – our account reconciliation tool administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Qualifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
You will have a tertiary qualification in Accounting Finance or related discipline and proven experience in financial analysis, management accounting and forecasting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail will be an advantage as well as an ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
There will still be time for some fun and with our location in Hazeldean Business Park, Hagley Park and lots of other amenities are only a short walk away.
