About the role

This is a full time opportunity that could be located and anyone of our sites in Brisbane CBD, Tarong Power station or Stanwell Power Station.

Reporting to the Group Manager Supply Chain & Procurement Operations, you will lead inventory demand planning, forecasting and optimisation activities to ensure materials availability aligns with maintenance, outage and operational requirements. This is a highly influential role, working closely with site leadership, finance, engineering, operations and suppliers to drive improved asset availability, cost control and working capital outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and continuously improving aggregated and long‑term inventory demand plans
  • Driving inventory optimisation strategies to balance availability, risk and cost
  • Providing data‑driven insights to support outage planning and asset management decisions
  • Influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders across operational and corporate teams
  • Leading and coaching a small, specialist inventory team
  • Strengthening planning processes, reporting cadence and master data integrity
  • Supporting whole‑of‑business supply chain improvement initiatives, including renewables

This role offers strong visibility, genuine influence, and the opportunity to deliver meaningful improvements across an asset‑intensive, safety‑critical environment.

About you

You bring:

  • Extensive experience in inventory management, planning or supply chain roles
  • Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Procurement & Contracting, or Management (mandatory). Project Management certification (highly desirable)Strong exposure to demand forecasting, outage planning and variability management
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and delivering change initiatives
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge established ways of working
  • Strong analytical capability, with confidence using data to inform decisions
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Ellipse experience highly regarded)
  • A collaborative, pragmatic leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement
