About the role

This is a full time opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

The Senior Service Management Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Stanwell’s IT Service Management policies and processes. Support the delivery and continuous improvement of IT Service Management processes across ICT, ensuring they are effectively embedded and consistently applied. Work closely with stakeholders to implement service management practices and support service transition activities while contributing to governance activities to maintain compliance with ITSM policies, procedures and standards.

Key activities include:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and guide the governance aspects of the Service Management processes and associated technology systems, providing expertise, best practices, and driving outcomes to ensure adherence of processes and implementation of changes where required.

  • Major Incident Management: Lead the coordination and response to critical IT incidents, driving the restoration of services as quickly as possible. You will bring together the right technical teams, oversee communication to stakeholders, and escalate issues where required to ensure timely resolution. The role also involves facilitating post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement actions that improve service reliability and reduce future disruption.

  • Change Management: Lead the ICT Change Advisory Board (CAB), ensuring changes are well planned and executed.

  • IT Procurement: Support the acquisition processes for IT hardware and software.

  • Service Transition: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Service Transition practices are understood and implemented.

  • Security: Implement robust security measures and best practices for Service Management to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards.

About you

  • Proven experience in IT Service Management and Operational Readiness

  • Hands-on experience in leading a Change Advisory Board at an enterprise level.

  • Hands-on experience configuring and enhancing an IT Service Management system.

  • Hands on experience with ServiceNow highly desirable

  • Experience in Disaster Recovery desirable.

  • Relevant ITIL certifications.
