About the role
This is a paid 7-week student placement based in our Brisbane CBD office, during the end of year university break period. The block will take place from 7 December 2026 to 5 February 2027 (with a break in between).
We are looking for individuals to learn and develop their capabilities within the exciting Energy Markets Division at Stanwell, either in the Commercial Analytics or Retail team. The successful candidates will gain exposure to the analysis, research, modelling and reporting that supports decision making. They will also be provided with great mentoring and networking opportunities with other employees at Stanwell, including the Early Careers cohorts.
Key activities may include:
- Provide valuation for energy projects - generation and expenses
- Analyse contracts
- Report on the energy market
- Analyse financial reporting
About you
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated third or fourth year undergraduate student who would like to gain practical work experience in the dynamic electricity market space?
- Currently studying a relevant degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Data Analytics
- Demonstrated communication and analytical skills
- Participation in extracurricular activities
- Full availability between 7 December 2026 to 5 February 2027 (excluding public holiday weeks)
