About the role
Some opportunities don't come around very often. After more than 30 years with Stanwell Power Station including six in this particular role, having seen the site evolve from construction through to full operations, our longstanding incumbent is retiring. We're now looking for the next leader to build on that legacy and help drive the future performance of the station.
This is a full-time role located at Stanwell Power Station. As Operational Performance Superintendent, you will lead a multidisciplinary function spanning asset and maintenance management, operational performance, fuel and Coal Combustion Product management, process chemistry, condition monitoring and reliability.
You will provide the leadership, systems and performance insights needed to optimise maintenance effort, plant performance, risk, cost and long-term asset outcomes. You will also oversee the site’s First Response Team function and participate in Manager on Call responsibilities.
Rather than being the subject matter expert in every discipline, you will provide leadership, direction and support to experienced professionals, enabling them to deliver practical improvements across Stanwell Power Station. You will work closely with operational and maintenance leaders to influence decisions, challenge thinking and drive improved business outcomes.
Key activities include:
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary operational performance team.
- Optimise maintenance practices, systems, assurance and reporting.
- Provide performance insights to plant engineering and strategy teams.
- Develop functional plans, priorities, budgets and workforce requirements.
