About the role
The Account Manager is critical for ensuring that Stanwell’s aspirations in relation to significant and profitable growth in Retail are realised.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring a balanced focus between appropriately managing our existing customer base, targeting new customers to ensure the operational and financial targets outlined in the retail expansion business case are met and also contributing to the development of the capability required under the retail expansion strategy.
- Developing, implementing and executing a suite of products and strategies to position Stanwell as a market leader in the targeted retail market.
- Extracting maximum potential gross margin in a highly competitive retail market ensuring long term revenue certainty of Stanwell.
- Maintain and strengthen existing key counterparty relationships including negotiating and liaising with external and internal parties to develop, analyse and execute a suite of tailored products with targeted counterparties.
Reporting to the Manager of Commercial and Industrial Sales, this is a permanent opportunity based at our Brisbane CBD office.

About you
The ideal candidate would have well-developed negotiation skills and experience in developing and selling products to end users, preferably in the energy industry.
Other skills and experience required include:
- Tertiary qualifications in a numerate, commercial or marketing discipline preferred;
- AFMA electricity accreditation;
- Retail electricity market experience;
- Well-developed communication skills and experience dealing with diverse stakeholder groups;
- Competent knowledge of the regulatory schemes associated with retail activities; and
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present strategies, plans and reports in a professional manner.
