About the role
This is a full-time opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.
The General Manager Procurement and Supply provides the strategic direction and governance oversight to the Stanwell Corporation Limited (Stanwell) Procurement and Supply Team. This role ensures effective strategic procurement including major projects, sourcing and category management techniques and that working capital is optimised through smart purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management systems that deliver a cost effective, efficient and value adding service. The role leads the procurement and supply chain strategies that support the renewable energy transformation.
Key Responsibilities include
- Develop commercial strategies, systems, and processes to support a range of different procurement projects with different business units, sites, authorities, communities, stakeholders, host and partners. This includes the support of new business streams and supply items required on renewable projects and other major projects such as the CQH2 project.
- Provide strategic supply chain and commercial counsel to Stanwell Executive Leadership Team and Broader Leadership group.
- Engage and manage relationships with key business stakeholders, including Industry bodies, local and state government bodies, external stakeholders, and Shareholding departments, to develop effective procurement and supply strategies that meet key government agendas.
- Provide strong leadership to guide the Procurement and Supply leadership teams to achieve the strategic initiatives identified in the Stanwell Strategy, Statement of Corporate Intent / Corporate Plan, the Shareholder Mandate, the Procurement Policy, the annual functional plans and specific Procurement and Supply plans;
- Developing a collaborative multi-functional and cross divisional team in a dynamically changing business.
About you
- Relevant experience in senior supply chain roles, including successfully managing a strategic procurement and supply chain function within energy, mining and/or other large capital-intensive industry.
- Contract management experience from a supplier’s and customer’s perspective particularly in relation to construction, goods and services; with a broad knowledge of Australian contract law in a utility and/or other capital-intensive industry.
- Demonstrated skills working within a large, complex organisation, building relationships with and influencing peers so that the practices of teams throughout the organisation is consistent with established procurement strategies and procedures.
- Strong time management skills including the ability to balance competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
- Post-graduate degree or post-graduate diploma in procurement, logistics, and/or business administration or equivalent experience desirable.
