In this role, you will:

  • Obtain details required to assess the validity of claims and identify the parties responsible for accidents, damage, and loss, with an expert understanding of the processes of claim lodgement and validation.
  • Interpret basic policy coverage, and determine if coverage applies to claims submitted, escalating issues as needed.
  • Allocate external assessments and interpret reporting where required, and manage the fulfilment of a claim by co-ordinating satisfactory completion of repairs.
  • Collect our customer’s excess, set reserves, and raise payments within scope of authority, processing basic claims in the most cost-effective manner, and ensure timely issuance of disbursements - while understanding how GST and ITC impact those payments.
  • Address a range of matters raised by customers to support the provision of a high standard of customer service, including responding to, and escalating any client issues accordingly.
  • Be proficient in the complaints handling process.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, operations or the financial services sector
  • Intermediate computer, numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills, with a focus on attention to detail
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Able to adhere to business process, key performance indicators and timelines in a data-driven operational environment.
  • A strong focus on exceptional customer service with a genuine desire to help people.
