The Head of Operations (Insurtech) plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence across Steadfast’s Insurtech function. This role is responsible for driving consistency, scalability, and efficiency across systems, processes, and teams that support market‑leading broking solutions used by over 11,000 users daily. You’ll work closely with technology, product, broker, and group stakeholders to operationalise strategy, support innovation, and ensure business‑as‑usual delivery continues seamlessly as new solutions are brought to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive streamlined and consistent Insurtech operations through the development, implementation, and governance of operational standards, policies, and procedures
- Own service management processes, including application support, incident and major incident management, and operational escalation
- Lead operational readiness for new products and enhancements, ensuring processes, controls, and infrastructure scale effectively
- Partner with brokers, GoldSeal, and internal teams to create and maintain standardised digital documentation and templates within Insurtech solutions
- Oversee risk, control, audit, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities, identifying and closing control gaps where required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading operations within technology, insurtech, fintech, or complex digital environments
- Strong understanding of service management, incident management, BAU delivery, and operational governance
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across business and technology
- Hands‑on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Freshworks, or similar service and delivery platforms
- Insurance domain knowledge (broking or underwriting) applied within a technology environment highly regarded, alongside a continuous improvement mindset
