About the Role

As the Water Accounting Advisor you’ll be responsible for conducting transactional water data processes and ensuring the efficient and timely processing of water accounting and sharing on a daily/monthly basis.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing end-to-end customer support services for Border Rivers, St George and Macintyre Brook schemes, answering general enquires and resolving customer contract grievances and concerns
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of announced allocations
  • Generating communication material for distribution to customers.
  • Providing advice and support to the business and customers in relation to the water accounting.
  • Undertaking water data / accounting entry processes in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
  • Assisting in the timely and accurate processing of temporary transfers
  • Preparing water data / accounting reports, dashboards and undertakig analysis to address surveys, queries and preparing reports for the business.
  • Run exception reports to validate customer water use and follow-up with regional staff and customers

About you:

Key requirements include:

  • Knowledge of data analysis and financial concepts
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of programs, particularly Excel skills in reporting and analysing data
  • Demonstrated skills in analysing data to ensure it is correct and fit for purpose, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively
  • Highly developed communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed systems skills, with the ability to run reports, analyse and validate data from those reports
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member and contribute to team outcomes
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
