About you:
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Business partner, your primary responsibility as the Environmental Advisor is to provide technical support and advice, data analysis, consultant/contractor coordination, reporting and mentoring staff for environmental and water quality issues. The role also requires experience in environmental risk management and the preparation of fit-for-purpose environmental management plans, reports, and any localised environmental processes.
You will bring:
Sunwater is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor who has demonstrated skills in water quality monitoring, assessment, analysis and reporting, water quality management advice, environmental risk and offset requirements, flora and fauna (terrestrial and aquatic) identification and management. You will be experienced in managing regulatory compliance in a water supply business and be able to provide informal environmental training and undertaking assurance activities regarding compliance with standards, environmental approvals, and licences.
In addition, you will have: -
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant environmental discipline e.g., environmental science, environmental chemistry etc.
- 5 + Years experience in environmental management compliance
- Class ‘C’ driving licence
- Demonstrated experience of working in an environmental management team in a water service provider/ water utility business or in a related capacity
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives
- Training and Assessor qualifications (highly desirable)
