We are looking for a strong, innovative Senior Manager of Infrastructure Performance to enable us to achieve that vision by leading our infrastructure strategy through performance optimisation, cost-efficiency, and regulatory success.

What you’ll do:

Strategic Leadership: Reporting into the Head of Water, Environment, and Infrastructure Performance, you will oversee product performance for Water, Wastewater, and Recycled Water across Sydney Water, managing up to 40 indirect reports.

Drive Optimal Balance: Ensure Sydney Water excels in balancing risk, service performance, and investment for water and wastewater systems, leveraging organizational levers at the executive leadership level.

Asset Ownership Accountability: Make strategic decisions to ensure the Asset Operator meets service expectations, driving customer-centric choices that optimize performance, risk, and cost.

Performance Excellence: Lead and drive improvements in product, service, system, and asset performance to ensure optimal outcomes across Sydney Water.

High-Impact Communication: Represent Sydney Water in public forums, with unions, industry bodies, and the media, fostering strong relationships and managing high-level communications.


Your experience and qualifications:

Industry Experience: Significant relevant experience in engineering and infrastructure management, including at least 5 years in a senior general business management role.

Leadership Experience: Demonstrated at both team and management levels.

Asset Management Expertise: Deep understanding of best practices in asset management, including the ability to develop and implement effective management systems and organizational structures.

Performance Management: Proven track record in optimizing the balance between risk, cost, and performance to achieve environmental and regulatory outcomes.

Education: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, technical discipline, business, or management, with relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
