Production Officers - Lower Hawkesbury Hub
Sydney Water are seeking team members to join our Lower Hawkesbury Water Resource Recovery Facilities including West Hornsby, Hornsby Heights, Brooklyn and Warriewood.
We have immediate needs for Level 1 and Level 2 Production Officers.
Additional candidates will be talent pooled for opportunities across the Northern areas over next 6-12 months.
Production Officers are responsible for the best practice safe operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment assets and processes to meet statutory product quality standards, whilst meeting customer expectations and efficiency targets.
This position includes office and outdoor activities while working with a diverse group of employees. You will be offered formal and on-the-job training to skill you for the role.
Who are we looking for?
Production Officers work in multi-disciplinary teams, where diversity is a strength.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Science or a trade qualification are a great asset, though not essential. A practical aptitude, a can-do attitude that is willing to learn is valuable.
- Teamwork, good people skills and personal drive for continuous improvement is a must to contribute to a positive team culture.
- Experience in a production, utilities, or asset maintenance environment is advantageous.
- Experience in coordinating internal and external service providers to perform maintenance and project works is advantageous.
- Exposure to working within quality management systems (ISO 9000, 14000, 4801)
- Current valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- The ability to commit working on a stand-by roster as per site requirements
There will be an opportunity for training towards Certificate III in Water Operations as part of the role.
