The Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Manager will oversee safety and wellbeing initiatives for management teams and employees, mentor and manage a small team of Safety Advisors, and spearhead improvements in safety performance while ensuring alignment with operational safety standards and business objectives.
What You’ll Do
Cultivate a culture of safety, health and wellbeing and elevate the engagement of your stakeholders through developing trusting relationships and demonstrating superior visible safety leadership.
Work collaboratively within a team of highly capable and respected safety professionals to solve key safety and wellbeing problems, together.
Champion the SHW Team, highlighting its importance and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Offer guidance and leadership to direct reports, emphasising priority on value driven activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver services that comply with WHS regulations and align with key safety initiatives.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive change to enhance service quality and effectiveness.
Your experience and qualifications:
You hold a formal tertiary qualification in safety, preferably a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree.
You have 7-10 years of experience managing safety in utilities, manufacturing, distribution or large capital projects.
You bring expertise in implementing and managing safety management systems.
You possess senior management experience with a proven track record in leading, motivating, and mentoring teams.
You excel in consultation, negotiation, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You demonstrate a results-oriented approach, with a strategic mindset and ability to influence key decision-makers.
You actively contribute to collaboration, people development, and change leadership, enhancing stakeholder experiences and safety outcomes.
You’re an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at time of application.
