Role Description:
The Head of Organisational Design & Development is an exciting opportunity in our People, Safety & Environment business unit based at our Perth Central Park office.
This role is accountable for leading the design and development of Synergy’s organisational capability, encompassing culture, organisational design, strategic workforce planning, leadership and learning frameworks. It ensures performance and talent initiatives are aligned to Synergy’s purpose and long‑term strategy, enabling a high‑performance, continuously learning organisation.
The role drives enterprise capability uplift through the design and delivery of contemporary learning programs and development frameworks that support strategic priorities and build sustainable organisational capability.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager People Safety and Environment, this role works as a collaborative member of the senior leadership team and demonstrates a commitment to safety, customer and community centricity, and creating a high-performance culture where people thrive and seamlessly adapt to change.
Job responsibilities:
- Accountable for organisational development initiatives with an aim to support scalability, innovation, and operational efficiency in the organisation, including employee engagement and employee experience.
- Accountable for the creation of strategies relating to Synergy’s internal capability at all levels of the organisation.
- Review and renew Synergy Leadership competencies and design a leadership suite that supports strategy, increases accountability, safety and operational discipline at different stages of career.
- Design Synergy’s cultural framework and tools to increase cultural literacy and facilitate People BP capability build in coaching leaders in inclusive culture and journey to high performance.
- Lead teams to assess learning outcomes and continuously improve programs based on data-driven insights, consider optimal utilisation cost to run and the capability uplift return on investment.
What you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as organisational psychology, HR, adult learning, or business administration.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in L&D, or related disciplines, with a proven track record of success at an executive level.
- 10+ years’ experience in the design, development delivery and evaluation of capability development initiatives or programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practice in modern adult learning and learning tools and systems.
- Experience leading large-scale organisational development and culture transformation projects
