The opportunity:
As the Finance Business Analyst, you will be responsible for managing local needs for solution deployment, change requests, maintenance, support configuration, and report building. This role involves strong coordination with the IT Finance department at the group level, ensuring the integrated finance system is up-to-date and streamlined with other systems such as payroll, HRIS, and ICIMs.
The role is based at our Sydney CBD location and we also welcome a hybrid flexible working model.
- Analyse financial data and create reports to aid decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for IT projects and expenses.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and document the business and functional requirements for IT finance systems.
- Help implement and improve financial systems and tools. This involves testing, training users, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee and analyse IT finance data to maintain accuracy and integrity. Use data analytics tools to uncover insights and trends that support financial planning and strategy.
- Serve as a link between IT, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on financial goals and technology projects, promoting effective communication and collaboration for project success.

- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role within a professional services, projects, or engineering environment.
- Strong experience in configuring business and financial tools and implementing new systems or versions.
- Accounting or financial management background is desirable.
- Good understanding of financial reporting and financial management.
- Experience with ERP system implementation and related business systems (Payroll, Expense management, BI tools, PM tools).
