The Opportunity:
Based in our Brisbane CBD office with a hybrid flexible working model, the Senior Signalling Design Engineer role offers you the chance to be a technical leader and strategic advisor. You will be instrumental in leading and managing significant signalling design engineering projects, providing expert technical guidance, and ensuring the safety and reliability of vital rail networks in Brisbane. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide authoritative technical advice and guidance on complex signalling engineering challenges.
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of signalling projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges inherent in large-scale signalling projects.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing expert, tailored solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation within project teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Mandatory: L2 or L3 QR Competency and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status.
A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in railway signalling design engineering and the maintenance of signalling systems. - A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge of signalling principles, systems, and cutting-edge technologies, including ETCS, CBTC, interlocking systems, and various train control systems.
- A demonstrable history of successfully leading and delivering complex signalling design projects from initial concept to successful completion.
