The Opportunity:
The System Engineering & Integration Lead - QLD is a key support role to the Director, leading the QLD System Engineering & Integration team. You will contribute your specialist expertise to projects while covering operational management, resource coordination, direct project management, and local business development support. This is a wide-ranging role that involves collaborating with Technical and Growth Directors to ensure your team is efficiently utilised and technically competent for the current and future work pipeline. You will also be responsible for managing and resolving people-related activities and promoting SYSTRA ANZ's values of Connected Teams, Excellence, and Bold Leadership
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the QLD System Engineering & Integration team, coordinating all People & Culture activities like performance reviews (PDR's) and leave management.
- Collaborate with ANZ Systems Business Unit Directors to plan for future business needs and develop/implement strategies for the QLD region.
- Drive Operational Efficiency by monitoring utilisation rates and leading initiatives to ensure team utilisation exceeds corporate targets.
- Undertake technical and leadership roles on project engagements, leading advanced design development, technical analysis, and problem-solving.
- Act as the divisional guardian for professional standards, ensuring adherence to SYSTRA ANZ's Integrated Management System (IMS) and corporate governance.
- Actively promote and model ethical decision-making, championing SYSTRA's commitments to sustainability (ESG) and social value
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in consulting or engineering project delivery.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or demonstrated effective operational experience.
- Chartered or equivalent professional status (e.g., CPEng, RPEQ, or NER)
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear communication, particularly when conveying complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Proven capacity to provide excellence to clients and develop/maintain trusting stakeholder relationships.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and engage a team
