We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
Band 4 – base salary from $115,000 + Super final salary offering to be discussed with the preferred candidate based on skills and experience
Are you an experienced Financial Analyst who is passionate about energy and evaluating financial decisions? Are you curious with a general willingness to solve problems?
We are seeking an enthusiastic team member who enjoys financial modelling and being challenged at work to join our Corporate Finance team. The team is responsible for investment evaluation and financial analysis, front office treasury management, corporate financial forecasting and credit risk management.
In this role you will be exposed to corporate financial forecasting and investment evaluation, financial analysis and advice and when required, provide support to the Treasury and Credit Risk functions within the team. The role is required to provide quality services, dealing with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to obtain inputs and discuss outputs of modelling.
About you
The successful candidate will have knowledge of and experience in financial analysis with tertiary qualifications in a numerical discipline (business, finance or accounting). The successful candidate will be able to operate in ambiguity and help solve complex problems through financial analysis and modelling.
A proven understanding and working knowledge of commercial, economic, finance and accounting principles is essential.
You would also have –
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of translating complex financial data into understandings for non-financial stakeholders
