We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

Base salary from $102,958 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
As Compliance Analyst, you will help TasNetworks maintain a strong and effective compliance framework in an environment shaped by complex and evolving regulatory obligations. This role exists to ensure compliance requirements are understood, translated into practical business outcomes and embedded across the organisation. Through high-quality analysis, advice and reporting, you will support informed decision-making, strengthen governance practices and help the business meet its obligations to regulators, shareholders and the communities it serves.
Reporting across a broad range of compliance and governance activities, this role works closely with business leaders, operational teams and governance forums to provide insight on emerging regulatory issues and organisational compliance performance. You will contribute to the ongoing maturity of TasNetworks' compliance management and assist with external submissions and regulatory correspondence. This role offers the opportunity to influence how compliance is managed across the organisation.
Responsibilities also include:
- Provide practical advice and analysis on legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to support sound business decisions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential impacts, helping the organisation respond effectively to change.
- Prepare clear, accurate reporting and insights for senior leadership, Board Committees and governance forums.
- Contribute to external submissions, regulatory correspondence and compliance-related communications with key external parties.
About you
You're interested in compliance or governance and can combine technical expertise with a practical understanding of how highly regulated organisations operate. Comfortable interpreting complex regulatory requirements, you can connect legislative obligations with real-world business outcomes and provide risk informed commercial advice. You may have experience in utilities or another regulated environment, and you've developed a solid grounding in compliance frameworks, governance practices and regulatory change.
