We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
This key role in the Supply Chain team will see you develop and implement contemporary category management strategies and methodologies to support TasNetworks’ corporate objectives through effective procurement and contract lifecycle management.
Through a strategic approach to category management with high quality negotiated outcomes, you will achieve sustainability in spend and optimise TasNetworks’ commercial position.
Utilising best practice approaches to category procurement, contract lifecycle management, and supplier relationship management you will develop and propose contemporary category strategies and risk mitigation opportunities to the Commercial Leader.
Ongoing consultation with internal clients and stakeholder management will ensure procurement strategies align with and support the successful delivery of Program of Work and capital investments.

About you
To be a stand out in this role you will bring extensive experience in progressively senior roles within the Procurement and/or Contracts Management stream and a relevant tertiary qualification.
You will possess demonstrated experience in a leadership position along with strong financial awareness and capabilities and an ability to navigate complex problems with varied stakeholders.
Displaying the ability to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with various stakeholders, including internal clients, peers, and suppliers will be the fundamental to your success in this role.
