We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

This role will form an integral part of the new Negotiated Connections Team. The Portfolio Lead is responsible for ensuring customer negotiated projects are managed and delivered in accordance with all technical, regulatory, and network requirements; whilst ensuring an excellent customer experience that meets high expectations

The role requires effective planning, management, and co-ordination of multiple projects and departments/stakeholders across the business to ensure efficient project delivery in accordance with agreed regulator and ‘red tape reduction’ time frames and forecasted budgets

Success will rely on the candidates ability to establish strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and influence favourable outcomes for our customers and shareholders.

Marinus Link is a proposed 1500 megawatt capacity undersea and underground electricity connection to link Tasmania and Victoria, supported by transmission upgrades as part of Australia’s future electricity grid. The National Electricity Market is redefining as new energy generation infrastructure replaces ageing infrastructure. Marinus Link and supporting transmission upgrades can help smooth this transition by providing access to a low-cost clean and reliable energy supply for customers!

About you

Formal qualifications in leadership and/or project management and/or demonstrated extensive experience in portfolio/stakeholder management. Additionally, an electrical trade background (linesman or electrician) would be looked upon favourably

Have strong knowledge and experience in program/project and portfolio management in the electricity distribution industry, particularly small to large utility projects.
