We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
As a Transmission Planning Specialist, you will lead the works management of maintenance and our internally delivered construction works for Tasmanian’s energy deliverer.
Using skills and advanced understanding of business requirements in the energy sector and complex stakeholders you will develop and maintain a balanced risk and customer focused works delivery plan.
This role will see you rolling a 12-18 month delivery plan for the TasNetworks transmission system whilst focusing on delivering efficient and safe processes for our customers and our transmission teams.

About you
Having a strong technical understanding of Transmission electricity network from design, construction, maintenance and operational requirements across all asset classes (transmission lines, substations and protection assets)
Demonstrated performance in roles requiring effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work and build successful relationships across multiple stakeholder groups (including external customers and internal teams)
The ideal candidate will show high resilience and commercial acumen with proven ability to understand risk management processes and techniques.
You will show ability to utilise technology to seamlessly perform works management activities at the relevant scale.
