We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

We are looking for positive, hardworking experienced lineworkers who will contribute to our success by providing construction, maintenance and an emergency service to the Works Delivery Resource Centres. These roles are pivotal to the organisation to attend to faults in a prompt and timely manner, while maintaining the safety of the customer and yourself as your top priority.

Specifically, the Lineworker role is responsible for:

  • Ensuring Overhead Distribution Standards are maintained
  • Adhering to compliance standards in relation to safety, environmental and service delivery
  • Attending to faults in a timely, within budget and in a prompt manner
  • Establishing effective communication with key customers and general public to maintain business relationships

About you

The successful team member will have experience working on the Overhead Distribution System and Polarity Testing as well as Fault Finding experience. You will have the ability to work in a team environment and have well developed communication and interpersonal skills. A Cert III in Distribution (Powerlines) or A Grade Linework coupled with a Workplace First Aid qualification, MR Licence and EWP ticket will be imperative to the safe work required in this role.
