We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

In this role, our primary objective is to provide meticulous, streamlined, and timely assistance in data input, reporting, analysis, and administrative tasks. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional support while strictly adhering to established policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes, specifically in the realms of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing cards.

Our focus extends to efficiently managing various financial transactions, including debtor receipts, creditor and debtor invoices, and purchasing card requests. Through our efforts, we ensure that these critical aspects of financial operations run smoothly and effectively.

This is a full-time permanent job located at our Lenah Valley Office in Hobart.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have to a robust knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing card processes, particularly within the context of a large organisation.

An in-depth understanding of procure-to-pay policies, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficient execution.

Proficiency in handling purchasing card administration and effectively managing related tasks.

A high level of competency in using the Microsoft Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting.
