We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
As an ADMS engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain the Advanced Distribution Management System to ensure its reliability and effectiveness.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and functionalities into the ADMS, and will monitor and troubleshoot system performance and resolve technical issues.
In this role you’ll develop and execute testing procedures to validate system functionality, while providing technical expertise and support for ADMS users and related projects.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in ADMS technology is crucial to the role.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with at least 5 years’ experience as a SCADA engineer or equivalent.
You will have proven experience with Distribution Management Systems and/or SCADA.
Proficiency in ADMS software and a high level of computer competency, including knowledge of IT infrastructure architecture and networking, are key components of this role.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
The preferred candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write and explain technical documentation in a clear and easy to understand way.
