We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
We are seeking an efficient and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join our interactive and fast paced site at Rocherlea. Working towards safe, accurate and customer focussed outcomes, the Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe workplace environment in our warehouse and associated yards
- Receive and dispatch of goods/materials in a safe, accurate and timely manner
- Safe operation of forklift for loading and unloading of goods
- A proactive hands on approach to stock accuracy and inventory management
- Providing excellent customer service whilst managing customer expectations
- Some travel required to service our regional depots and contractor sites across the north/north-east of the state

About you
You will have experience working in a Warehouse environment, with a proven ability to accurately manage inventory with a focus on improving stock accuracy, improve and maintain inventory layouts making efficient and productive use of space and have experience with computer based inventory management systems. Experience in the 5S Lean System would be highly advantageous.
Your warehousing, logistics and supply chain knowledge, coupled with an ability to think on your feet and solve problems will see you succeed in this role.
You must hold a valid high risk forklift licence and have completed training in Workplace Health and Safety, including effective Manual Handling and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS). A Gold Card will also be highly regarded for this role (however, training and certification can be provided).
