About the role

Within our Operations - Works Management team, we currently have a number of opportunities as a Planning Specialist, with locations across all business regions.

These collaborative, fast paced roles are an essential function to the planning of works, with the Planning Specialist role taking the lead on overseeing strategic planning, risk management and optimisation of all work programs related to the TasNetworks Distribution network.

As a Planning Specialist you will also be responsible for collaborating and building effective stakeholder relationships, using your technical and practical expertise to manage expectations and develop streamlined work projects, that are executed within defined targets and approved business budgets.

About you

To be successful as a Planning Specialist within the Operations team, you will have a proven ability to build and manage a portfolio of high risk work programs within a similar environment (works planning/project management), ideally with a tertiary qualification in Works Management or trade background (or demonstrated practical experience).

Your commercial understanding and demonstrated performance in roles requiring effective collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work and build successful relationships across multiple stakeholder groups (including external customers and internal teams) with resilience and adaptability will be highly regarded.

As a Planning Specialist you are required to hold a current Drivers Licence and have an ability to use various technology platforms (SAP, IFS, ESRI) with a problem solving mindset that will contribute to the overall success of the team.
