Are you looking to re-enter the workforce after a career break? Or looking to explore a different industry or career pathway? TasNetworks are excited to be offering this successful program, Career Revive, providing a 12-week paid program to support individuals with their career.

The Career Revive Program is a professional opportunity for you to network with people within TasNetworks and contribute to meaningful and impactful work in a supportive working environment.

The program will consist of a range of activities and tasks where you have the opportunity to showcase your capabilities whilst developing new skills and establish professional networks within the energy sector.

Hear below, the experience of a previous Career Revive participant:

“My journey with TasNetworks began almost a year ago when I was invited to apply for the Career Revive Program. As a migrant without any Australian industry experience, I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. This program represented a significant opportunity to advance my professional career here in Tasmania.

From the outset, my goal was to seize this chance to acquire new knowledge and skills. I immersed myself in every project and program my team was involved in. The support and assistance I received from my team and colleagues were invaluable.

Our Friday sessions were particularly enlightening. These meetings offered insights into various aspects of the company, helping me understand how it operates as a successful business, supports local communities, and contributes to sustainability and environmental protection.

Equipped with new skills and confidence, I took the brave step of applying for a position within my team. Now, after six months as an Engineer at TasNetworks, I am continuously learning and growing.

If you ask me if it was worth it, I’d say absolutely. Believe in yourself and stay open to new opportunities.”
