We deliver power to Tasmanians. Our vision is to be trusted by our customers to deliver today and create a better tomorrow.
We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists in the TasNetworks Strategy team where we are building a new Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) comprising four roles.
EPMO Leader
EPMO Planning & Prioritisation Specialist
EPMO Portfolio Delivery & Quality Specialist
EPMO Analyst
The EPMO Leader, reporting to the Head of Strategy, will own the oversight and governance of the non-network portfolio and will own the enterprise value framework and its application. The non-network portfolio includes areas such as innovation, digital and business services. The delivery of the portfolio is decentralised across multiple areas of the business, so varied and diverse stakeholder management is crucial.
The EPMO Leader will have the opportunity to build and maintain an effective EPMO team and lead the two specialists and the analyst. They will monitor the portfolio to provide insight on the portfolio to leaders so they can act in a timely manner to drive improved outcomes. Through relevant committees they will communicate effectively on status and risk, advise and challenge senior leadership on planning and prioritisation, using objective methods and frameworks. This role brings strategy to life through the portfolio so being able to balance strategic conceptual thinking with delivery focus is important.
About you
We are looking for a proven leader with an ability to have strong and respectful two-way conversations with an eye on delivery and accountability. You will use your strong leadership skills to support the team in bringing together frameworks, ensure portfolio health and engaging with stakeholders to deliver and execute.
You have extensive experience (7+ years) in portfolio management, portfolio delivery, investments and/or business cases, with an ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to influence outcomes.
You will have relevant tertiary education with digital, commercial or business disciplines highly valued, whilst noting digital is just one component of this role and wider experience/education will be valued.
Formal training or qualifications in project management are desirable, as is experience in the energy sector and an understanding of financials in a regulated business.
What's on offer
This is a permanent full time opportunity, offering a healthy remuneration and benefits package. Relocation assistance is also available to preferred candidates not currently living in Tasmania.
