Asset Location Officer

We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
Band 2 - base salary from $85,000 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
Joining a dynamic and hard working team, we are looking for a dedicated and committed Asset Location Officer to join our field delivery team!
In this role you will liaise with TasNetworks’ diverse workforce in relation to the location of underground services and provide accurate and up to date information, plans and maps.
Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, and your commitment to keeping yourself and our customers safe whilst attending faults in a timely manner is a high priority.
About you
Working remotely and autonomously at times, you will have a solid understanding of relevant Work Practices – Procedures, Policies, Manuals and Guidelines. This, combined with your well developed communication and interpersonal skills will set you up for success.
You will be experienced with fault finding and have basic computer skills. Having SAP experience will set you apart (desirable).
To be successful in this role you will hold the following licences –
- RIICCM202D – Identify, locate and protect underground services
- White card
- Drivers licence
- Instructed Person (IP)
