We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
Salary Range – $130,000-$140,000 (base) + Overtime + Superannuation

An exciting opportunity exists in the Network Operations team for a Distribution Systems Coordinator.
Located at Lenah Valley in Hobart’s Northern Suburbs this role aims to monitor, control, co-ordinate and maintain electrical supply and quality of supply to all customers within the Tasmanian Distribution System.
The role requires the development of safe and effective switching plans for new installation, maintenance & emergency repairs whilst maintaining the safety of employees, members of the public, safety of apparatus & continuity of supply.
The successful applicant will be trained in all competencies required to operate the Distribution Network and eligible for shift team roles as they become available.
About you
Anticipate and be responsive to the distribution system user's requirement identification and registration of system deficiencies and advance knowledge of power system safety rules.
You will have:
- A-grade Electrical Trade qualifications OR equivalent
- Current or recent experience in the high-level operation of a power distribution system
- Electrical practitioners' qualification and or a minimum five years’ experience in mobile workforce scheduling and coordination
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of the Geospatial (GIS) tools (e.g. NetMaps), SCADA, Microsoft office package, SAP.
- Self-motivated and can work in a team environment.
